THE PRIEST'S DIET

For all meals, priests would enjoy their god/goddess' ritual offerings, which consisted of goose and beef for a main, fruit and vegetables as a side, wine and beer as drinks, and finally, cake for dessert. This was discovered when some Egyptologists started conducting research on the hieroglyphic inscriptions on temple walls. This diet was extremely unhealthy, as goose meat is over 65% fat. To prove this, they took a look at 60 mummies that were priests that had been analysed over the past 30 years and found that many of the mummies had in fact, blocked arteries (arteries are part of the blood circulation system and having too much fat and cholesterol

can lead to blockage).
